Where Looker Studio is better
- Anything custom: blend GA4 with ads, spreadsheets or a database; design your own layout.
- Client reports: branded reports for agencies.
Where SimpleDash is better
- No building. Useful on day one, for every site in your Google account.
- Honest by default. Comparisons with the period before, no fake zeros, and data still filling up marked as such.
- Things Looker Studio doesn't do: live visitors, a Monday email with a plain-words summary, AI traffic out of the box.
A note on GA4 quotas
Busy Looker Studio reports can hit GA4's hourly API limits, which shows as errors in charts. SimpleDash caches reports and asks for several cards in one request to stay inside them.

vs Google Analytics
SimpleDash isn't a GA4 replacement: it reads your GA4 data and shows it on one simple page. What each is best at, where GA4 wins, and when to use both.
vs Plausible
Plausible replaces Google Analytics with its own cookie-free script; SimpleDash keeps GA4 and makes it simple. An honest comparison of what each is best at.
